Arapahoe County E 9-1-1 Authority Board Announces the Launch of the Everbridge Aware™ for Citizen Alerts.

The Arapahoe County E 9-1-1 Authority Board has implemented the Everbridge Aware™ for
Citizen Alerts.  The emergency notification system provides emergency notifications by
communicating the alerts to thousands of businesses and residents in minutes.  The system
will be launched and ready for use, September 1, 2009. 

The Arapahoe County Public Safety Communications Centers include; Arapahoe County Sheriff’s
Office, Englewood Police and Fire Department, Glendale Police, Greenwood Village Police,
Littleton Fire and Police Departments, MetCom and Sheridan Police and Fire Departments.

The Arapahoe County Public Safety Communications Centers include; Arapahoe County
Sheriff’s Office, Englewood Police and Fire Department, Glendale Police, Greenwood
Village Police, Littleton Fire and Police Departments, MetCom and Sheridan Police and Fire
Departments.  All Centers will be able to alert citizens about emergency police situations,
fires, floods, toxic environmental issues and other emergencies using the emergency notification
system.

Messages can be sent to citizens on any communications path desired – cell phone, home
phone, email, text messaging, pager, PDA and more. Residents and businesses with traditional
land-line telephones are already registered using the address recorded with the telephone company. 
Citizens are encouraged to opt in to the system and provide additional contact information or
opt out.  To opt in, go to your local public safety website and select the “Citizen Alert Notification
Signup” link.

Participation in the Opt-In program is entirely voluntary and is subject to conditions,such as periodic
renewal or other verification methodologies that the Arapahoe County E 9-1-1 Authority may adopt.
The Arapahoe County E 9-1-1 Authority is not responsible for incorrect information provided by
participants in the Opt-In program or for any charges or fees that may be charged to participants
by telephone or data service providers as a result of participation in the program. It is the sole
responsibility of participants to keep any information provided current.

The Arapahoe County E 9-1-1 Authority is proud to announce the launch the new Emergency
Notification System and provide this service to the Citizens of Arapahoe
County.
